I Can’t Be Hypnotised!

Many people I talk to are curious about Past Life Regression, but their main hesitation is the fear of not being able to be hypnotised. I can relate to this concern as I once shared the same fear! Let’s take a deeper look at this fear.
For some, saying ‘I can’t’ actually translates to ‘I don’t want to’. Many of us grew up watching shows featuring Paul McKenna or Derren Brown, where we witnessed the unusual things done to people in a hypnotic state. This can understandably be a barrier for those who prefer to remain in control. It’s important to remember that the participants on these shows are all willing volunteers. Even those who appear to be randomly selected have applied to be on the show and have undergone a thorough interview process. However, this is not typical in a therapeutic setting!
Others are blocked by the fear that they won’t ‘go under’. The issue here lies in the preconceived notion of what ‘going under’ should feel like. Once again, movies and TV have contributed to an unrealistic expectation of this experience.
In reality, the hypnotic state is something you naturally enter multiple times a day. There are five recognised brainwave states:
Gamma – Peak focus, sudden insight
Beta – The common waking state, active thinking
Alpha – Relaxed, calm awareness
Theta – Light sleep, meditation, hypnosis
Delta – Deep dreamless sleep
You cycle through each of these states multiple times a day; they are entirely natural and familiar to you. During hypnosis, you are led through relaxation and imagination exercises into the Theta state. In this state, you may drift in and out of awareness, retaining full control over your body, and reject any instructions you find uncomfortable. You will also be able to speak, which is crucial in Past Life Regression. In this state, you can reprogram faulty behaviours such as bad habits and phobias or access deeper memory layers, including early childhood or past life memories. All of this is done with your consent, aiming to heal at a level unattainable in a fully conscious state.
If you’re interested but still have reservations, I can provide a recording to listen to before your session. This will help you easily reach the appropriate brainwave state on the day of your session.
